[NEWS] COVID-19: Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State Extends Lockdown Till May 24
The COVID-19 lockdown in Ogun State has been reached out till May 24.
This was unveiled by Governor Dapo Abiodun at a public interview he tended to at his Okemosan office in Abeokuta on Friday evening.
As indicated by Abiodun, he was compelled to expand the ebb and flow lockdown on account of the expansion in network transmission of Coronavirus and Ogun inhabitant's refusal to obey government orders to stem the tide of the infection.
"In view of the increase in community transmission and poor compliance with lockdown measures, we are constrained to retain the current ease of lockdown,” Abiodun said.
The Governor clarified that individuals will be permitted to come out for basic business exercises on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between the long periods of 7am and 5pm.
Abiodun communicated disappointment that Ogun occupants are not helping out the government as he blamed them for ridiculing all standards and guidelines.
He lamented that individuals despite everything come out of their homes without face covers while denouncing business drivers, tricycle and cruiser administrators of conveying past the necessary number of travelers.
Abiodun stressed that a few drivers are prone to give out face veils to their travelers, saying they gather same back when the travelers land from their vehicles.
This, he depicted as an abnormality, saying anyone got would be arraigned.
