[SPORT UPDATE] LA LIGA President Comments On Messi Joining Ronaldo In Italian League
LaLiga President, Javier Tebas has ridiculed Serie A's funds following talk Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona for Inter Milan.
Ex-Inter president, Massimo Moratti, said he felt Serie A club signing Messi was not, at this point a "forbidden dream."
Nonetheless, Tebas feels the Italian outfit couldn't stand to sign the Argentine hotshot.
"I don’t believe the arrival of Messi would solve Serie A’s problems, which are tied to high debts and insufficient incomings.
“I would like Messi to stay here [in La Liga], but if he did leave, it wouldn’t be the end of the world: it was said that, without Cristiano Ronaldo, LaLiga would have lost money, but in fact we made [money] – even in Portugal,” Tebas told a news meeting.
Both LaLiga and Serie An are at present suspended on account of the coronavirus episode.
