[SPORT UPDATE] 'Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Lionel Messi' - Brazil legend Pele says

Brazil legend, Pele has pronounced himself football's most noteworthy ever player in front of Cristiano Ronaldo and his main adversary Lionel Messi.

The 79-year-old, who is a three-time World Cup victor made the revelation as he offered his input about who is the present world's best among Ronaldo and Messi, who both have 11 Ballon d'Or grants between them.

In spite of the way that Lionel Messi has more Ballon d'Or grants, Pele trusts Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player at the present time.

'Today the best player in the world is Cristiano Ronaldo,' he told YouTube channel Pilhado.

'I think he's the best, because he's more consistent, but you can't forget about [Lionel] Messi, of course, but he's not a striker.'

When asked who is the best to have played the beautiful game, Pele mentioned himself.

'It is a question that is difficult to answer,' he replied 'We cannot forget about Zico, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.

'And in Europe, Franz Beckenbauer and Johan Cruyff. Now, it's not my fault, but I think Pele was better than them all.'

A week ago, Pele denied claims that he is battling to deal with his portability issues in the wake of experiencing a hip activity after his child Edinho told TV Globo a month ago that his dad was 'humiliated' to venture out from home because of his hip issues, which causes 'a specific despondency'.
