[BREAKING NEWS] In Rwanda: Police Shoot Dead two Individuals for Resisting Coronavirus lockdown Orders
Rwandan police shot and executed two individuals who challenged lockdown orders forced by the legislature to control the spread of the coronavirus.
The two men in their twenties "attempted to tussle with officers," Rwanda National Police representative John Bosco Kabera said by telephone Wednesday, Bloomberg reports.
Rwanda started a fourteen day lockdown on March 22, confining travel among towns and urban communities and requesting that individuals stay inside. Its measures are among the most stringent in Africa.
The East African country has 40 affirmed Covid-19 cases.
